Description

One of my personal favorite character for SSC and RotD, Mortieo, or "Tie".

Name: Mortieo, which is the male version of the name of the moon closest to Terra Ferus. The name means "he is cold."
Other Names: "Tie"
Officially addressed as Mortieo, the Fierce
Rank: considered a "Warrior-hunter"
Position: rogue
Family: None
Pride: None, loner
Member of the Brotherhood

Family-
Unknown parents and grandparents.
Father of Nightriver, who is Hollowsage and Fia's father. He wasn't really around for Nightriver though, and likely doesn't know Fia and Sage are his grandchildren. Nightriver's mother is never mentioned by name.
Was supposed to marry Desertsnow(Brightsun's mother), though it was an arranged marriage as an attempt to get him to settle down. He broke it off so she could marry someone else, despite the fact he had developed some feelings for her. She had none for him.

To sum his story up, he's the only rogue to successfully join the Brotherhood, as of such, he's officially considered a "loner" by great lion society and the Valley.

Tie is a Day Dreamer, in fact he was the strongest one in the Brotherhood till Dez came along. Tie was rather old for a member of the Brotherhood, the oldest besides Noble wolves, and quiet frankly hated being called on by the Brotherhood unless absolutely necessary. When they welcomed Dez into their ranks and learned her gift was being a Day Dreamer, the leaders(most of whom were related to Dez) knew they were going to help to bring her to her full potential. Reluctantly, Tie agreed to take the young lioness under his wings, despite how much he despised pride lions, particularly Dez' family(there's some ancient history between him and her grandmother XD). Dez however impressed the old rogue, actually managing to befriend him, but after a few short months of training her, he was ready to throw in the towel. "You don't want her to reach her full potential," Tie flatly told the leaders of the Brotherhood when they asked why he wouldn't train her anymore. "She learns new things about her gift each day, mastering what takes most years to in a few days. She has power that can so easily corrupt, which is exactly what would happen if she uses her gift for the Brotherhood. Our cause may be just, but we all know very well our methods aren't always." In truth, he was scared about Dez' power as a Day Dreamer. She was stronger than him, and he could sense something about her that just wasn't right, or rather was too right. Dez eventually told him she was supposedly Kadara, which was neither comforting nor unnerving for him. More or less, Tie thought the whole "Kandaraiet" prophecy didn't affect him. That was a mistake on his part.

In SSC, he ends up as a commander of the Brotherhood, a fellow lycan hunter alongside Dez and the vast majority of the cursed shifters. SSC shows a lot of the darker sides of what a Day Dreamer can do, particularly when Tie is involved. You'll see how Dez is held back by her morals(in a good way!) and Tie isn't so much(he does some really dark stuff, things that scare the crap out of Dez).

One last thing I'll put here is that he has no scars on his face and his ears are not torn. He prides himself in this fact, and it's something Dez picked up after him, as you'll notice she barely has any scars on her face and her ears are also not torn. Pride lions tend to go for the face when fighting, since they can leave nasty wounds without killing their opponent. Basically it means no one could get the "cheap shots" on him. His other scars very likely are not from other lions.
